Solve compound inequality and interval Notation.

The problem was

2v-6<=-8 4v+1<13

-6 -6 -1. -1

2v=-2. 4v=-12

-2. -2. 12. 12

v= -1. V=3

My answers: (-∞,-1] u (-∞,3)

but when enter it told me that I should write my answers with few intervals as possible. This is where I’m confused with. Any help would be appreciated.

2v - 6 <= -8 or 4v + 1 < 13

+6 +6 -1 -1

2v < = -2 4v < 12

v < = -1 v < 3

(-∞, -1] or (-∞, 3)

when you combine these using union, the answer is (-∞, 3) since it includes the other. Or it is the longer interval.
