Also remember anytime it says the word "and" that means the numbers around the function that it is asking.
In this case, quotient means to divide. Since you are only given one number, you have to use a variable in place of the other, because it is an unknown.
Another example, instead of quotient, say the problem was product (it means to multiply). You would write it as x* 4 or n * 4 or whatever you want to use in place of "a number"
