Three-fourths of the student body attended the pep-rally. If there were 1230 students at the pep rally, how many students are there in all?

I’m confused how to solve this, please help.

This is a cross-multiplication problem. Set an equation. (3/4) times X is 1230. X represents the total body. Cross Multiply and you get 3X=1230 * 4. Solve for X.
