When something varies directly, it means we are multiplying it by a constant. The standard equation for a direct variation relation is:
y = kx, where "k" is your constant
So from the problem we know that when y = 132, x = 6. We can plug this into the direct variation equation and solve for our constant:
y = kx
132 = 6 * k
132 / 6 = k
22 = k
