I am thinking of a fraction. I subtract 1/6 from it. Then I add 3/4 to the difference. The answer is 5/4. What is the fraction?

I got the C but if I am wrong may you correct me and can you please show me the equation to the answer and thank you very much for your assistance

x + 7/12 = 15/12

x = 8/12 = 2/3
