4x - y = 6 eqn 1
2x - 5y = 12 eqn 2
multiply eqn 2 by 2 to get:
4x - 10y = 24
subtract eqn 1 to get:
-9y = 18
So: y = -2
sub in eqn 1 to get:
4x + 2 = 6
solve to get x = 1
Now that you have the x and y coordinates, plug these into y = p − 3x, and find the value of p
