I teach for success in most any subject with background and experience
First rule. Never assume your audience knows anything. This includes vocabulary in Physics that you think everyone should know. You're not saying your audience is dumb, but not everyone knows what you know.
Two. If this is a powerpoint presentation, use only bullet points. Don't ever use paragraphs on a slide.
Three. Science is fun. Show why its fun. Its breath taking and awe inspiring. Try to convey it. Facts are amazing, but what makes facts amazing is how much it blows your mind. Use examples and comparisons to try to explain.
