I'll revenge vs "I'll take revenge"?

Throughout my life I have thought that the correct expression is *to take revenge*; however, I have also heard people saying *I'll revenge*. Which is correct?

Revenge is defined as a personal retaliation for wrongdoing, which can be used as either a noun ("I'll take revenge on my brother for lying and getting me in trouble") or a verb ("I'll revenge my brother for lying and getting me in trouble"). Although it is far more common to use revenge as a noun, both are correct.
