Greetings! Lets solve this shall we ?
So, we must find the value of y from the given information. Then, we must use the slope formula such that
(y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) = m...............Now we plug in all values in their spots such that
(y - 5) / (7 - 3) = -3/2
y - 5 / 4 = -3/2...............We then cross multiply to obtain
2(y-5) = 4(-3)...........Then distribute the 2 inside via multiplication such that
2y -10 = -12..............Then add 10 to both sides such that
2y = -2..............Finally, divide 2 such that
y = -1
I hope this helped!
