Learn Math in a fun
Area of Rectangle = length * width
if length is 2 more than width , then width= w and length = 2+w
solve-
Area of Rectangle = length * width
15 = (2+w)*w
15 =2w +w2
means..
w2 +2w-15 =0
(w+5) or (w-3) = 0
w=-5 or w=3
ANS width=3 then length=3+2=5

Let's let L = Length and W = width, and A = area of the rectangle.
A=L*W, and since A = 15, then we have
15 = L * W
The length (L) is (=) 2 more than (2 +) the width (W)
So turn these words into math and get L = 2+W
Use this in the equation 15 = L*W
15 = (2+W)(W)
Distribute
15 = 2W + W2
Moving everything to one side
W2 + 2W - 15 = 0
Then factor
(W+5)(W-3)=0
so W = -5 or W = 3
And the positive width makes the most sense, so W = 3 inches, Length = 5 inches.
