For problem 1

a) y=x-3 and 7-x=y

These are in the form y = mx + b

y = x -3

y = -x + 7

You can easily determine their x and y intercepts for a simple graph by hand or at Desmos.com

b) 2x-y+1=0 and x+2y=-8

The equations in b can be easily be put in the form of y = mx + b for the same treatment as above

y = 2x + 1

y = -x/2 - 4
