In 4 hrs Mike will travel 60×4= 240 miles and
Sandra will travel 70×4=280 miles
These two directions can be shown by two legs of right triangle and a hypotenuse will be formed by connecting end points of these two legs.
Apply Pythagorean formula to determine the distance
between them. A^2 + A^2 = C^2
(240)^2 + (280)^2 = C^2
√136000. = C = 369 miles
