In triangle IJK
The measure of angle I = (4x+5) degrees
The measure of angle J = (4x+18) degrees and
The measure of angle K = (x+4) degrees
We know that all angle measures in a triangle must equal 180 so
m∠I + m∠J + m∠K = 180° when we plug in for the measures we get:
4x + 5 + 4x + 18 + x + 4 = 180 If we combine like terms:
9x + 27 = 180
9x = 153 Therefore,
x = 17
