The pubococcygeus (PC muscle) is one of three muscles that make up the levator ani muscle group (the base of your pelvic floor). When you look for agonist and antagonist muscles you first need to understand the action of the pubococcygeus. The action is to elevate the pelvic floor and support the pelvic girdle and abdominal viscera.
Agonists: Muscles that also elevate the pelvic floor and support the pelvic girdle and abdominal viscera such as the Iliococcygeus and ischiococcygeus.
Antagonists: Muscles that depress the pelvic floor by increasing intra abdominal pressure, pushing the abdominal and pelvic contents inferiorly (down). This could be any muscles that increases abdominal pressure such as the transverse abdominis and abdominal muscle group as a whole.
