In typical work counseling patients, I suspect psychologists rarely if ever will use formal statistics.
In a research setting, I expect psychologists will tend to use parametric analyses such as t-tests and ANOVA models. I think they could also use non-parametric analogs to the parametric tests. In an academic setting I'm sure psychologists can use more complex statistical models and methods.
