solve using quadratic formula and finding all complex number solutions

     Why do you say only one solution is valid ?

I checked my solutions by graphing the original equation.  The only place that the graph crosses the x-axis is at -2.79.  The other solution, while it satisfies the quadratic, it doesn't satisfy the original equation.

     I checked it three times and it appears to be a solution.
1/0.11962-3=8/0.1196
1/0.0143-3=66.889
69.93-3=66.889
66.93≈66.889 (this is with approximations)
How can it not be a solution ? The only condition on the equation is that x≠0 ??
