What is the probability that he will wear his favorite combination, tan pants and a white shirt?

There are four possible combinations:

blue pants/white shirt, tan pants/white shirt, blue pants/blue shirt, blue pants/white shirt

he has a slightly better than 25% chance of pulling his favorite outfit, because he has an extra white shirt

probability of getting blue pants = 2/4

probability of getting white shirt = 3/5

probably of getting both = 2/4 x 3/5 = 30%
