You've got great instincts. There is definitely a difference between marketing "language" and the rest of English. This is because the desire is more closely reflect how one would say something as opposed to how one would write it. Add to that inflections for dramatic purposes and it appears on the surface that the rules of grammar have been turned completely upside down!
