1. w=100 v=150 so A would be 100-150=-50 and B would be I100-150I=50
2. v was the winner ( got the most votes) an the winner got 50 more votes than the loser and if it were the other way around the absolute value Iw-vI would always give the amount of votes more the winner winner received than the loser.
