Difference between "considered to be" and "considered as"?

Is there any difference between considered to be and considered as? For example: - Adam is considered as a good teacher. - Adam is considered to be a good teacher.

Natalie J.

The sentence should read, "Adam is considered to be a good teacher."The word "as" is used primarily in comparisons, such as; My teacher is as good as your teacher." In the sentence above, Adam is not being compared to anyone or anything, so "as" would not be used.
