Why has Nepal never been conquered or colonized?

Why has no country conquered or colonized Nepal? Nepal lost the [Anglo-Nepalese War](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anglo-Nepalese_War) with East India Company but was not colonized.

Nepal is more or less surrounded by the single most dangerous and rough mountains in the world.

It isn't worth getting into or fighting a war over. At least in colonial times.
