I need to solve sin(x+3pi)=1/2
Using the degrees system take inverse sin of both sides of the equation:
sin-1 ( sin ( x+3π)) = sin-1 ( 1/2) , then x + 3π = 30o for π = 180o , x+ 3( 180o) = 30o , and
x+540o = 30o , x = 30o - 540o = - 510o
or x + 3π = π/6 , x = π/6 - 3π = (π - 18π)/6 = -17π /6 = -17(180o) / 6 = - 510o
Using the radian system = -17π /6 = -17( 3.1416) /6 = - 8.9 rad
also note that each radian = ( 180o) / π = 1800 / 3.1416 = 57.29o
Hope this helps
