1) Two angles are complementary. If one of the angles measures (2x-14) and the other (3x-6) find the value of x. Then find the measure of each angle.

If two angles are complementary, that means they sum to 90 degrees. Since the angles are 2x -14 and 3x - 6, we can write the following

(2x - 14) + (3x - 6) = 90

5x - 20 = 90

5x = 110

x = 22

Now that we know x = 22, we can find each angle

(2 * 22 - 14) = 30 degrees

(3 * 22 - 6) = 60 degrees

Notice that the two angles are complementary because their sum is 90 degrees.
