Since it states that the length is twice as long as the breadth than we can set the breadth as X and the length as 2X.
Therefore the perimeter is the length of all sides of the rectangle added together.
2X + X + 2X + X
We also know that the perimeter is 48m, so our equation becomes:
2X + X + 2X + X = 48
We then solve the equation to:
6X = 48
X = 8m
This means that the breadth of this rectangle is 8m and the length (being twice the size) is 16m.
