Let the numbers be X, Y, Z
The sum of three numbers is three times the first
X + Y + Z = 3X ------- (i) =====>> Y + Z = 2X ------------- (ii)
and the third is four more than one third the first
Z = 4 + X/3 ------------(iii)
The sum of these numbers is 43.
X + Y + Z = 43 --------(iv)
Equating the RHS of i and iv
3X = 43 ======>>> X =43/3
From iii
Z = 4 + 43/9 =79/9
From ii
Y + Z =2X
Y = 2X - Z = 2(43/3) - 79/9 = 86/3 - 79/9 = 179/9
The numbers are 43/3, 179/9 and 79/9
