One pizza (10 inches), two cokes (300 milliliters)	$10.00
Two pizzas (10 inches), two bags of chips (200 grams)	$12.00

Assume that the price of a combo meal is the same price as purchasing each item separately. Find the price of a pizza, a coke, and a bag of chips.

Let P = price of one 10” pizza

Let C = price of one 300 ml Coke

Let B = price of one 200g bag of chips

Now,

P+C+B=9 Equation 1

P+2C= 10 Equation 2

2P+2C=12 Equation 3

Now,

Divide the third equation (both sides) by 2:

(2P+2C)/2= 12/2

P+C= 6

Substitute P+C = 6 into the first equation:

6 + B = 9

rearrange to get:

B = 9-6

B=3

Now, from Equation 2 we have:

P= 10-2C

And from the above we know:

P+C=6. Or:

P=6-C

by comparison then:

10-2C=6-C

rearrange and solve for C:

C=10-6

C=4

Now, since P+C=6, we know:

P+4=6 so

P=6-4

P=2

To summarize,

Price of pizza, P is $2

Price of Coke, C is $4

Price of bag of chips, B is $3.
