Find the dimensions

Question

A rectangle has an area of 105 square feet. If the sum of the length and the width is 26 feet, find the dimensions.  Include units in your answer

lw = 105

l + w = 26

l = 105/w

105/w + w = 26

105 + w² = 26w

w2 - 26w + 105 = 0

(w - 21)(w - 5) = 0

w - 21 = 0

w = 21

w - 5 = 0

w = 5

Since the length is usually longer, length = 21 feet and width = 5 feet.
