Not sure where to go from t^2=-49

 

I am aware of how to use "i"

t² - 30 = -79

t² = -49

t = √(-1*49*) = √(-1)√49

 

t = ±7i

 

Check:

t = +7i

t² = 7²i² = 49*(-1) = -49   Check!

 

t = -7i

t² = (-7)²i² = 49*(-1) = -49   Check!
