two consecutive odd (or even) integers is represented by x and x+2
x+(x+2)=540
2x+2=540
2x=540-2
2x=538
x=538/2
x=269 and x+2=271 (269+271=540)

asked 05/08/19Can you please tell me the sum of two consecutive odd integers to equal 540? This is for college and we need to learn how to find integers to equal odd or even numbers. However, this time it is an even number and of course math hates me and I love math. It is such a challenge but it does not agree with me.
