Yes... they first fill the vessels with wax, basically creating a cast, and then dissolve the tissue. I'm not sure what chemicals they use to dissolve it, but I'm sure it would be easy to look up... and also quite toxic.
Isolating the vasculature of an organ?
Is there a chemical or process that would dissolve or remove all other tissues in an organ and leave all the vasculature intact? I am planning to make a shelf display of the blood vessels in the heart of a pig for use as a shelf display.
