Those points are stated using the normal X-Y coordinate system, in which +X is to the right, and +Y is up. Slope is calculated by subtracting the beginning point from the final. The final point will be the one with the highest X value,
The slope is the change in Y over the change in X.
m = (0 - 3) / (0 - (-4)) = -3 / +4 = -0.75
