 A wire is tied from the top of one tower to the top of another. The angle of depression from the top of the taller tower to the top of the shorter tower is 37 degrees. If the wire is 100 feet long, calculate the distance between the two towers

You have a right triangle with a hypotenuse of 100 feet. You are looking for the leg opposite the angle of depression of 37^o . So, Sin 37 = x/100, or x = 100sin 37. x = 60 feet
