Math proportions

Jennifer is a caterer. She has her mother's recipe for baking a cake. The recipe calls for 1/3 cup of sugar and 1/2 a cup of butter. She wants to make more servings of the cake for a catering event. She must feed 3 times more people than the serving size of the recipe. What can she do to determine how much sugar and butter to put in the cake?
