How to learn to produce documentaries?

I have several ideas for documentaries. None of them involve any fancy production or cinematographic techniques. Most of it would be interviewing people and simple camera works along with including some graphic material, which can be electronically produced on a laptop. This should be much simpler than making feature movies as no actors or special effects are needed. Think documentaries that people post of YouTube. How can I acquire all the skills involved in producing a simple documentary like that? What minimal hardware setup would suffice (what kind of camera, lights, etc)? What kind of software should I acquire for the production thereof. I would prefer to enable myself to do everything involved, from filming, direction, sound, narrative, graphic design, production etc.Are there online tutorials that provide a basic setup for how to start as a documentary maker?
