Photoshop is a program that reads image files, so as long as the camera provides images in JPEG or RAW formats, you will have no problem opening them in Photoshop. The only cameras that are not compatible with Photoshop are film cameras. All digital cameras produce JPEG files. If you just want a pocket camera, I recommend the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100. Newer models cost more than $600, but the first model is still pretty good.
