The sequence involves multiples of 9 added to each successive answer
14 + 1 x 9 = 23
23 + 2 x 9 = 41
41 + 3 x 9 = 68
68 + 4 x 9 = 104
104 + 5 x 9 = 158

As with all series, try to find a pattern getting from one number to the next. This will either be multiplying the same number each time or dividing ....
To find the pattern, start by subtracting sequential numbers (2nd by 1st, 3rd by 2nd, etc); then if that doesn't work, try dividing instead (same pairs). Look at each difference/quotient... is there a pattern?
This one's tricky, but you can find it with patience.
