Greetings! Lets solve this shall we ?
We have the equations
2x+10y=17
7x+17y=9
If we plug in the point (-6,3) into both equations we see that
2(-6)+10(3) = 17
-12+30 = 17
18 ≠17
7(-6)+17(3) = 9
-42+51 = 9
9 = 9
Since the point only works for one of the equations, it is not a system of linear equations and the point is not a solution.
I hope this helped!
