Ok. First you need to remember that the measures of supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees. (Complimentary angles add up to 90 degrees.)
Next, define your variable. I'll call it A, for Alyssa. :-)
Let A = the smaller angle
You know that the OTHER angle has a measure that is twice what the smaller angle is, so...
Let 2A = the bigger angle
Now you can write an equation. You know that the smaller plus the bigger equals 180:
A + 2A = 180
combine like terms and solve... I leave that part to you since I bet that it was the set-up that was hard, and you can solve the equation now. :-)
