Greetings! Lets solve this shall we ?
Let the first and third even consecutive integers be equal to
1st = x
3rd = (x+4)
The sum of these must equal 160. Lets find these integers! So
x + (x+4) = 160..............Add like terms
2x + 4 = 160.................Subtract 4 to both sides
2x = 156......................Divide 2 to both sides
x = 78
So, the
1st integer is 78 and the third integer is (78+4) = 82!
I hope this helped!
