A hotel has 150 rooms. A room with additional services costs $80 per night, and one without additional services costs $60 per night. On a night when the hotel is completely occupied, the total revenue is $10,000. How many of each type of room does the hotel have?

w = rooms with service

150 - w = rooms without service

 

80w + 60(150 - w) = 10000

80w + 9000 - 60w = 10000

20w = 1000

w = 50

 

Fifty room have additional services and one hundred do not.

Solve for system of equations:

x + y =150

80x + 60y=10,000
