Remember the "slope-offset" form for the equation of a line: y = mx + b.
First, enter the given slope to get: y = -3x / 4 + b
Next, enter the given point (8,3) means x=8 and y=3
So....3 = -3(8) / 4 + b
rearrange and simplify:
b = 3 + 3(8) / 4 = 3 + 6 = 9
SO: The equation is y = -3x / 4 + 9
TEST by plugging in the given point (8,3)
