How do you extract a color from a gradient in Illustrator?

I want to grab one of the colors from a gradient, and turn it into a solid color swatch._________________UpdateJust to be precise, I want to get the color of one of the 'nodes' in the gradient. So if a a gradient goes from red to blue, I might want to grab the exact color blue from the blue node – i'm not wanting to grab any of the inbetween colors.

In addition, you can use the Eyedropper Tool (I) to capture colors:

Hold the SHIFT key and click. Works in gradients and pattern swatches, too. Using SHIFT limits the Eyedropper to capture the color only.

Have the Gradient, Color and Swatches panels open. Click the object colored with the gradient. Now click on the gradient stop you want to save as a swatch; It will appear as a solid box or as the Fill in the Color panel. Drag that from the Color panel to the Swatches panel, and you've saved it.
