This is a ratio problem. The trick to setting these up is to make sure you put the same type of thing in the numerator and in the denominator in each ratio. If we put protein in the numerator and carbs in the denominator we have:
4/20 = X/1
We have 1 in the denominator in the second fraction because we are looking for amount of protein for EACH gram of carbs. It's going to be a decimal answer, less than 1. You can either cross multiply and simplify or you can simplify 4/20 to 2/10, change it to a decimal ... 2/10 = .2 and that's your answer. .2 gram of protein for 1 gram of carbs.
