Hi Alexandro, there are three possibilities for solutions to a system of equations.
Possibility 1:
The two line intersect each other. The number of solutions is 1, resulting in an (x, y) pair.
Possibility 2:
The results of the system of equations is: 0 = n, where n is any number other than 0. This means there is no solution. Think of parallel lines.
Possibility 3:
The results of the system of equations is: 0 = 0. This means the lines are identical. There is an infinite number of solutions. Think of one line lying on top of the other line.
