Will pictures ever become obsolete?

Only if the World comes to an end by total destruction. Pictures are extremely as communication tools, they mark point and times in life and history. They are a source of art medium, As we age they become our fond memories of times gone by. We use photography to help save declining species by bringing the loss to peoples attention. There is so much to say about pictures and the stories they tell. So in reality our pictures will remain of tremendous value to the human race because a picture can really be worth a thousand words. So keep taking them.

This of course is a matter of opinion, so in my opinion, no. Pictures, as paintings, will remain important art mediums.
