Hi!
This actually a simple percent problem, as well as a proportion set-up. I would like to teach you that the base is 120 pages and since the percent is 65, you are looking for the part of the base. Convert 65% to decimal at .65 and multiply it times the base (120). The part (or percentage, as some math texts call it) is 78 pages read or 120 times .65 equals 78. If you want to check it, just reverse the operation and divide 78 by 120 and you get .65 or 65%. I hope that this helps.
Kind regards,
Don M.
