Write the first five terms of the recursive sequence

f(1)= 0

f(n)= 2(an-1)2-1

Hi Niyah, do you mean f(n) = 2*(f(n-1)^2-1? If not, what do you mean by 2(an-1)2?

an = 2(an-1)2 - 1 for n>1


a1 = 0

a2 = 2*(0)2 - 1 = 1

a3 = 2*(1)2 - 1 = 1

a4 = 2*(1)2 - 1 = 1

a5 = 2*(1)2 - 1 = 1

an = 2(an - 1 )2 - 1 for n>1

a2 = 2*(0-1)2 - 1 = 2 - 1 = 1
