Slope intercept form is often noted is y = mx + b where "m" is the slope and "b" is the y-intercept. So, to turn this equation into that form, we would subtract 2x from each side of the equation:
2x + y = 9
-2x + 2x + y = -2x + 9
On the left side of the equation, the "-2x + 2x" makes zero so we can drop them from the equation:
y = -2x + 9
That is the slope-intercept form. The slope in "2" and the y-intercept is "9"
