Find the first four terms

I am stuck on this one question on my homework. I am not good with recursive formulas but the rest is a breeze.

Given the recursive formula, find the first four terms:

a_n = -3*a_n-1

a₁ = 45

Answer 1

A2 = -3 * A1 = -3 * 45 = -135

A3 = -3 * A2 = -3 * -135 = 405

A4 = -3 * A3 = -3 * 405 = -1215

A5 = -3 * A4 = -3 * -1215 = 3645
