Anchors are invisible markers that help visitors jump directly to specific sections of a page—like a shortcut or bookmark. They're especially useful for one-page websites, long content sections, or in-page navigation menus.
🧭 When to Use Anchors
Use anchors when you want to:
- Create a table of contents or in-page menu.
- Link buttons or text to a specific section (e.g., “Learn More” scrolls to the About section).
- Improve accessibility and user experience by reducing scrolling.
- Share direct links to specific parts of a page (great for newsletters or social media).
🛠️ How to Add Anchors in Wix
✅ In Wix Editor (Classic Wix)
- Open your site in the Wix Editor.
- Click Add Elements on the left.
- Select Menu & Anchor → then choose Anchor.
- Drag the anchor to the section you want to mark.
- Rename the anchor for easy reference (e.g., “AboutSection”).
- Link buttons, text, or menu items to the anchor:
- Select the element → click Link → choose Anchor → select your anchor name.
🔗 You can also add anchors to your site menu for quick navigation.
